This is now the most frequently asked question:

Question: Why is it taking so long to get my thread? Why can't it be shipped out on time every month?

Answer: I have to PURCHASE the thread in order to fulfill this free thread offer to you. Since all the thread we had previously purchased to give away free was lost in the Hurricane of Sept 2008, I must buy the thread again in order to fulfill this offer. We lost 40,000 dollars worth of thread alone, besides the other products in our warehouse. We simply do not have 40,000.00 to buy it all again. It is being done as fast as we can do so.

Since Hurricane Ike also took my home and everything else I owned along with the thread and our entire warehouse of supplies. Things like the ware house and stabilizers and needles and all other supplies were not covered at all, since the flood insurance does not cover any of these, we have to buy everything we sell or use or GIVE as a FREE gift again. This is the reason it takes us so long to get the thread out to you. We are sorry that this is true and we wish we could do things faster, we are trying our best to do the right thing for our customers. We do not ask for sympathy, we just ask for understanding and patience as we work this out.

This is why the original series is now closed to new members. We are starting a new series that will be downloadable items and will NOT include boxes of thread to be shipped. 

The original series is still going on and will go on until each current member, who elects to go on with the series, gets every month that they have coming to them. If members decide to opt out, we have provided a deal for those members to compensate them.  

I know that everyone has to worry about
their budgets and income these days and I wanted to make this membership a
really fantastic deal. I want to make the store have the things members need
most and have the best products that can be purchased and at the best price.

I am trying to answer as many questions as possible. I do want
everyone to understand exactly how the membership works.

First of all; When  you join NitasthreadNest, it is a membership you are purchasing.

You are buying a membership to our website and the includes the fantastic Signature Collection of designs each month and get our fabulous free gift of thread to stitch them out with! You also get the right to use the forums, photo galleries, and other services that we will provide.
You will also get member discounts on purchases in the store.

 
You are buying a Thread Nest membership. You are NOT buying thread. This has been the way the plan worked from the time we opened and it is still the way the plan works. Some members have written to me about the thread product they bought and I want this to be clear. If you purchased thread in the store, then you bought a thread product. Otherwise, if you purchased a monthly membership, that is what you bought. The membership includes Designs and we will give the FREE thread to the members.

Designs and thread and other supplies will be available for purchase in our store at the lowest prices you will find anywhere.

Q-Are we purchasing our package each month and what does shipping cost?

A-You are not purchasing a package from us, but a membership at Nitas Thread Nest.
Your monthly membership fee will entitle you to the Signature Design CD and the Free Thread Selections for each month that you stay a member. Shipping and handling is charged on the package we will mail to you, but is added to your membership fee each month and is considered a part of your membership fee.

Q-Will the packages ship out to us right after we have joined the membership?

A-In order to know how many Thread Collections we have to order and put
together each month, the packages will ship after we know that number and
order that amount of product, get the product in and put the packages
together. Sometimes you might get the package right away and sometimes there might be a few weeks wait.
It will always be worth the wait.

Q.-Will we be shipping the same collection all the time?

A-There will be a different Collection of designs and Thread theme selections each
month, and since there are new members joining all the time, that created a
problem for us.
To handle that problem, we made the decision that we will not ship you the first package (#1)in whatever month you happen to join. We will ship you the series selection for the month that you join.
There are 23 Collections in the Series and a different Set will ship each month.

Q-What happens if you run out of this months Selection and

do not have enough for all the memberships

A- This could possibly happen as we can blow away our supplier and he might have to reorder to take care of us. We will always make sure that our members get their package, but will ask for patience if this happens. Since the Hurricane in Sept of 2008, we have asked for patience many times. This is because all the thread we had already purchased to fulfill our promise with was flooded away. GONE and the only way we can now keep our promise is to buy the thread again. This results in slower shipping for the thread. We WILL still get it done. This is why the membership is now closed to new members.

Murphy's Law is still alive and well and one never knows what might happen to hold up an order that is shipping from overseas.
AAA---If there are months when our memberships exceed our supply of incoming shipments for that month, that member may be renewed a second month before the first one has shipped to him. There may be extreme cases when a member would get 2 shipments at one time, because of this. Please do be patient if this happens, we will always make it up to you. And will make it worth the wait.

So, in order to work that problem out, here is how it will be done.

Q-If I sign up in June, when will my package ship to me?

A- Everyone one who signs up for a membership before the 15th of any month
will have their package shipped after the 1st day of the following month (or as
close to it as possible). Everyone who signs up for a membership between the
15th of any month and the last day of that month will be shipped a package
on the 16th (or as close to it as possible) of the following month.

Barring any major catastrophes that may happen, such as Hurricanes,.

Q-Why can't you sign up and have my order shipped right away instead of having to wait a month?

A-In order to fulfill our commitment, (we have to know how many boxes of thread to
purchase and have shipped to us)  (and how many we have put together each
month,) there will always be at least 2 to 4 weeks lead time. There may because of supply and demand, be a time when there would be a 6 week wait time.
My promise to you is that if this happens,  your thread will be sent to you as fast as possible, which will be as soon as it gets to our warehouse. (To us) And I will keep you updated on the progress of the shipments.

Q-If I sign up at the 1st of the month, when will my package ship and what will I get.

A-If you sign up on June 3rd, your membership package would ship right after July 1st. And it will be the 2nd Collection. The series started in June 2007 and go for 23 months for each member that is already in the membership.

Q- If I am signing up in May, why don't I get a May collection.

A-The series will start in June. We have planned it that way. We had to start taking memberships in May so that we knew now many members to prepare for.

Q-Will I get all the 23 Collections in the Series, if I join halfway through the series

or in the 6th or 7th month.

A-You will get all 23 Collections in the series, if you stay with us for
the complete series of 23 months and 23 renewals.
However, it will have to work back around to that 1st one.
We have a put a super membership together and want everyone who wishes to join,
to be able to enjoy and get the most from their membership, and to get the entire Collection.

Q-Will I be able to Purchase these Collections in the store later on.

A-To help insure that you get the most from your membership, you will be able
to purchase any Collection or any package of thread in the store later on. The Collection will not come with the theme Selection of thread, you will have to buy that separately.

The price in the store will be for the Signature Collection of Designs and the Designer Selection of Threads will have to be purchased separately, and will not be a free gift with the designs.

However, you will be able to purchase them at a fantastic price.

Q-Will future series be sent every month and then it would be my responsiblity to send it back if I didn't want it?
What is the charge for a premier design set in the future months?
Is this like a book club where you receive a set without ordering it?

A-OK, this is how it works. It is an opportunity to collect the Top of the Line Floriani Thread in all the 335 colors, including the varigated and twists.
The Design Collections will be made using the color theme for the Thread that we have chosen for that month.
You will receive a package each month until you cancel, as it is a renewing membership. Barring any unforeseen emergencies such as hurricanes. 
There will be 23 sets in the series. There will not be any refunds due to the fact that it is electronic media. Remember the threads are free.
Exceptions may be made at our discretion.
 If you do not like the Design Collection, you would still have the 15 spools of thread and that is worth far more than the monthly membership fee. The final two months will have 12 spools of thread each as these are the more expensive twists and varigated threads.
Those members who stay with us for the entire 23 month rotation will also get a free thread rack at the end of the Series. Please see the note below.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the fact that all our tools and equipment was lost in the Hurricane Ike of 2008, this will no longer be possible. We cannot make the thread racks. We have no tools to make them with and no money to purchase them with. But we will offer each 23 month member a gift of great value. Each 23 month member will get a free 3 month membership to Nita's Place and if you are already a member there, your membership will be extended for 3 months.

The Signature Collection will go on sale in the store at full price after the month it is shipped to members at the membership price.
The full price will depend on the set of designs and its price.  And of course, they will not come with the free Floriani Thread.
